Mmmm, Margarita

Are you thirsty? In 2005, the Smithsonian in Washington announced that it had acquired for its collection the first Frozen Margarita machine. The tasty history of this invention goes back to 1971 with restaurateur Mariano Martinez of Mariano's Hacienda Restaurant (6300 Skillman Street) in Dallas, when he modified a soft serve ice cream machine to produce the popular frozen concoction.
